Mayoral Debate – Candidates Meet & Greet – Thursday, Oct 15, 7-8:30 PM, GLHS Auditorium sponsored by Benchmark Bank

The Gahanna Area Chamber in partnership with Benchmark Bank will be hosting a Mayoral Debate & Candidates Meet and Greet on Thursday, October 15th in the auditorium of Gahanna Lincoln High School. The event will go from 7-8:30pm and include both Mayoral Candidates and those running for election to Gahanna City Council and Gahanna-Jefferson Schools Board of Education. Gahanna residents are strongly encouraged to attend.

The evening will begin at 7:00 with a short welcome and Part I of a Mayoral Debate between Mayoral Candidates Joe Gergley and Tom Kneeland. The debate will be run by the Lincoln-Douglas rules of debate. Both candidates have agreed to discuss the 6 main issues facing our City. The first three to be discussed in Part I of the debate. Final 3 issues will be discussed in Part II of the debate that will continue at 8:10.

At 7:30 each candidate that is running for City Council or Board of Education will have the opportunity to address those in attendance for 5 minutes to share their platform and their background. Candidates that have committed to present for City Council are: Karen Angelou, Malcom Glasgow, Ray Kautz, Nancy McGregor and Brian Metzbower. Candidates we will hear from running for Board of Education are: Lew Griffin, Daphne Moehring, Beryl Piccolantonio and Justin Sanford.
